I travel on my own when I'm not traveling around the country with my bandmates.

Big adventurer! Into pubs over clubs (unless it's a cool, interesting, non-stiletto-wearing-I'm-gonna-roofie-your-drink type club), outdoors, indoors, museums, divey nooks, I am so open to any and all of this. I can occupy my time with just about anything, even sitting in a room and just thinking or writing songs or talking.

I grew up traveling around the U.S. with my parents (both artists) and sister, and have been traveling on my own since I left home, so I've seen and know extensively about almost all of the continental U.S. geographically and culturally. All the women in my family are from the South--from South Carolina on my mom's side and Mississippi on my dad's side--but I was raised in New York, so I've got ties to both cultures. I know a good amount about geology and Native American history, two passions of mine aside from music, and like to live by my own personal philosophy.
