Hola and hello, we're Caroline and Burke! Caro's a doctoral student and Burke's an IT project manager, and when we're not traveling, hosting CSers brings so much of the joy of travel into our home. It's terrific when you lot give us an excuse to do the touristy things in our town along with you (left to our own devices, we don't make time for them), and we delight in swapping travel stories and tips for new corners of the Earth to explore. Hearing about your adventures keeps our wanderlust alive during the workweek. Even if you don't need a place to lay your head, at the very least, if we're free while you're in Music City, let's meet up for a drink and a chat!

Honestly, Couchsurfing has renewed our faith in humanity more than we could've expected. We've met the loveliest, most open-minded, considerate people from so many places and walks of life and with all kinds of different points of view. It's funny how such a varied group can have so much in common.

Yes, we like all three of those things :P

Narrowing this one down is impossible, especially because we're always finding something new to love. In general, Guster is Caroline's eternal all-time favorite band, and with regards to reading, Don Quijote is one of her favorites, and sort of the raison d'être of her academic pursuits.

Burke's book of choice is whatever Sci Fi looks good in the Kindle store at the moment, and for movies he likes almost all sorts except horror (Caro seconds that). Unlike Caroline, he didn't grow up in the south, but somehow has a mysterious and wonderful love for Bluegrass.

We love sharing our home and our town with you, and we especially like if we have the chance to cook a meal or mix a few cocktails together. Caroline is happy to help you practice your Spanish and/or would love if you'd help her out with her Portuguese.

One thing that bums us out is when folks are only looking for a free place to crash in our adorable city and aren't about the CS magic--human interaction and mutual respect. Even if your visit is midweek, we still like to learn what we can about you and your adventures, so we hope you'll take the time to learn about us and leave us a personal note when you request to stay here.
