Overview
About Me
Hullo, I am quite new to couchsurfing, but I am looking to become more involved with the general community. I studied folklore and mythology in school, and therefore love stories. (alas I do not know all the Greek mythology, but I do know a bunch of Native American). I love biological and cultural diversity. I think that this planet is full of weird amazing interesting things, and I'm very into learning more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couchsurfing to meet new, interesting people and to facilitate travel in an economical way. I've heard wonderful things about the community, and therefore am delving into it myself!
Interests
I love to be outside, hike, learn, read, eat, cook, think, and do amongst other excellent things.
- folklore
- cooking
- traveling
- hiking
- sign language
Music, Movies, and Books
Songza tells me I'm a fan of Sunshine Indie Pop right now - Sia, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, First Aid Kit, Ellie Goulding. There are lots of other types of music that I jam to, like classical, bluegrass, rock and folk.
I absolutely love Brandi Carlile.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hiked to the highest point in the continental US - Mt Whitney - in a hail storm .
Teach, Learn, Share
I truly love learning and teaching. I make a mean cheesy rice and beans dish. If there are museums around, let's go!
What I Can Share with Hosts
American Sign Language, knots, love of folklore, stories about whales, and a strange ability to make printers work.
