Raising a responsible and sensitive child
I am a 39 y.o. economist from São Paulo but currently living in Rio. My husband Nando is a marine engineer. We love travelling, talking and sharing experiences with other people.
We are not hard-party people (although sometimes it can be great to go to a loud party!), we prefer sitting down in a bar/restaurant or people´s house to chat.
I would say we are not very much the "typical" steriotyped Brazilians: we don´t like samba, we don´t dance any latin dance and we like Rock!
Carol: very picky eater (I thought this was important, since this puts me in very embarassing situations sometimes, like my guests making me a lovely fish for dinner that I won´t eat). Love alternative rock. Love talking politics and economics.
Nando: he eats just about anything, loves heavy metal, has a lot of humor (not everyone can understand it, but I love it) and likes to talk about boats and oil plataforms and boring stuff like that :)
André: born in August 2008, he´s a very active but shy boy. We are definetly not 100% natural food people, but we do try not to feed our son with fast food and candies. If you are staying with us, please ask before offering anything it to him.
Mariana: born in June 2012, she´s a very easygoing baby. But as all babies, she demands a lot of attention and time.
Our way of hosting will vary a lot depending on how busy we are, how many guests we have received lately, etc. So I have a few times picked people up at the airport, taken them around, etc., but I have also just given maps, indications and a "enjoy the city!". But we always try to make people as confortable as we can at home (not just in material ways).
With 2 kids it´s a new chalenge to host, let´s see how it goes. We are really interested in hosting families

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting people from other cultures and helping them. I have been a member of Hospitality Club for over 5 years and I have received over 30 guests and met countles people!
I used to have a 100% reply and was proud of it, but lately I have been receiving so many messages from people who do not bother to read my profile so I decided not to answer them anymore. So please, if you want a shot at accommodation and an answer, take the time to read it!!
We´ve had plenty of CS experience, as hosts and also as guests. We also did a lot for organizing the local couchsurfers, but that was so long ago that many local member have no idea who we are! hehehe. Just very few remember us.
I am open to host people as well as going out for a cofee/drink. The only thing I don´t like is to visit touristic places all over again...
