I am an optimistic and energetic person I'm keen on travel and meeting new people. I love theatre, film, radio, the beach, music and reading exciting novels. I also enjoy debating and philosophical conversations on society, ethics, law and politics I have 4 grown up children, youngest is 21 and 2 grandchildren. Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Having travelled accross Europe and North Africa with life coach, Zed Phoenix and unfortunately had to return early to the uk, I have felt a continued drive to return to my journey.
We were on a Challenge to use a system called Magnetic State Training ( created by Zed) to empower us to meet the many challenges of travelling the world hitchhiking, couch surfing and wild camping. We set ourselves to circumnavigate the globe in this way and return with many stories of life and culture in different parts of the world. We felt we must inspire others to understand that with imagination, faith and action they can achieve their dreams.
We decided that to do this we had to do something BIG! Bigger than we would expect from others who we may teach, help, motivate and inspire.

Magnetic State Training World Challenge 2017 where people from across the world who, inspired by what we were doing could connect and follow our journey.
I am no longer travelling with Zed who is now following a different journey but still feel I have my own mission in life to unite others, to create a link using my voice for others to link with theirs.
For this purpose I have now got a new Facebook page: Messages of Hope for Humanity as it was my personal mission on the journey to collect videos etc from people willing to share their vision for a better world and I hope to continue to spread such communications and messages wherever I am.
Generally I love meeting new people and exploring different lives and cultures.
When I visit a new place I want to experience it as the local people do rather than as an English tourist.
I would be very happy to travel and help my hosts in other countries to learn or improve their English .

I enjoy a mixture of music a cross the ages.
Current favourite:
jazz- Stanley Turrentine, classical, music of the 60's and 70's, pink Floyd, The Eagles .... Such a mix!
Books- Number 1 The Other Hand by Chris Cleve. A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. It left me feeling like I had friends whose lives continued when I wasn't looking !
I'm started reading Tolstoy- Resurrection but never finished!
I love Chekhov's plays and Shakespeare.
Films- All genres except horror
I love the Twilight films for easy watching, Chocolat with Johnny Depp and Juliet Binoche, Wag the Dog with Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman, So many I can't remember all...

I made the decision to join Zed Phoenix on the Magnetic State Training World Challenge 2017 and set my own mission to meet as many people as possible and collect their messages for humanity.
It was so difficult to leave home at short notice with only a backpack to travel the world hitchhiking and couchsurfing with very little money. I was afraid that I wouldn't have the things I needed or that I wouldn't be able to carry my bag for long because I previously had back problems and difficulties with my mobility.
This is such an amazing thing and more amazing than anything else I've done because I had to just go with faith. I have discovered that I am strong!
I had no problems with my back or my mobility and I got stronger every day.
Every day was an amazing experience.
I learned so much about myself, my personal weaknesses, my pride and the meaning of life for me.
This is also amazing because I hope to continue to connect with people of many different cultures and learn about what is important in life for them.

I teach Drama to adults and young people, also English and am a qualified teacher for secondary and further education.
I have taught Law, Sociology, Citizenship, Psychology and more!
I am a Producing Director for my own Theatre Company and when I can find funding,I love creating new plays and productions that share the message about communication, global empathy for humans and connecting with people - these are the things I believe in .
