Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started out my CouchSurfing experience hosting while living in Albania between 2009 and 2011. I enjoyed showing my hosts around the small town where I lived as I had really grown to love it. Then, while living in Russia in 2011-2012, I started using CouchSurfing to travel. This has been an amazing opportunity to make new friends and get a local's opinion on the language, history, culture, and politics.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Like most members of the CS community, I am so thankful to have to opportunity to meet ordinary people and see the places I travel through a more everyday perspective. It is nice to meet new people who share your interests or maybe teach you something new, while also making friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Balkan, Russian, and American folk. I love Tori Amos.
The Prophet by Gibran is, as a friend once told me, "the good man's Bible".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best things I have ever done was get lost on a cold, snowy Çajupi mountain, stumbling down into the Zagoria valley, sleeping in the cold rain, and then waking up to a beautiful blue mist hovering over a village full of stone buildings.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Lebanon, Mexico, Russian Federation, Spain, Turkey
Countries I’ve Lived In
Albania, Russian Federation, United States
