About Me

I’m an American from the flat plains of Indiana. Currently looking for employment post-graduation in a field related to data science as a policy analyst. I study a myriad of cross-disciplinary topics that tie up together in a neat little bow, so to speak. My primary area of focus is studying how terrorist groups form their ideology and spread it through their propaganda. I also focus on international relations and comparative politics, Middle Eastern politics in general. From there, Islamic theology, history, and the Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian languages help me navigate through the sociological and cultural aspects that tie these civilizations together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To hang out with people, maybe sleep somewhere for a night or two during my travels.

Interests

I enjoy occupying my free time with video games, learning languages, reading books and articles, writing, photography, and listening to music. My Canon Rebel camera always accompany me wherever I go, I especially enjoy taking street photos. Anything that looks interesting to me, I take a photo of it. Learning languages is mostly done online, some books and a variety of friends help guide me where the internet cannot. FPS and action games are some of my favorite genres and I have been really enamored with Death Stranding lately. Reading and writing is largely limited to non-fiction about any of the academic topics I've mentioned in the "About Me" section.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy listening to anything and everything. Though if I had to pick a favorite, orchestral, rock, and international music have to be my favorite genres. The composers John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Jack Wall do not disappoint. Old bands like Aerosmith, Journey, Foreigner, and Metallica are the rock music I enjoy the most. I don't have any particular favorites with international music as of yet. Same with books, though I am currently reading through Henry Kissinger's "On China" to get some backdrop on China while the current conflict with Taiwan is in the news.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got refused to go into Germany and stay a night in the airport being escorted by border police back in June 2021.
