I am an 19 year old girl from the UK living and working in Stockholm as a swim teacher. For the last two years I travelled around Europe alone volunteering with host families doing everything from meeting reindeer in Lapland with the Sami people to teaching Russian children English as a foreign language in Finland. I have a great love for travelling as well as seeking outdoor adventures. I love swimming, surfing and camping on the coast but one of my greatest interests is meeting new people from different countries and having an insight into their culture, view points and ways of life; I could talk for hours or just listen to what someone has to say on the world. I am very interested in the environment, human rights and global politics and want to go into a career in humanitarian aid in the future.

I love learning about other cultures and ways of life and get alternative viewpoints to the standardized one you receive through the media. I also think it's important in this modern world to maintain human connection, respect and trust for people you don't know which is hard and which is why I love couch surfing.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I absolutely love creative arts as culture and individualism can be expressed so greatly through these forms as well as political opinions and ways of life. I listen to music constantly and my taste depends on my mood, however mostly I love acoustic, indie and pop music. I appreciate all music in its own way. When it comes to movies, I'm not a great fan, however I love documentaries on nature especially those filming nature and wildlife abroad as it really inspires me to travel and see all of this for myself, as well as helping me to understand how the world works scientifically. I love to lose myself in books; reading history books (boring to most) and fantasy as well as the classical literature such as 'To kill a mockingbird'. Books give you such a diverse access to the world.
