I am 37 years old and from Columbus, OH. I have two crazy yet wonderful children and divorced. I do and have done a lot of things but I am primarily an educator, writer, and creative person. We know the saying, "A jack of all trades and a master of none is better than being a master of one."

Right now, I am in a journey of self-discovery and growth, so my hope is travel around and engage with new people in new places. I am a pretty open person and pretty unflappable, especially with a heads up. Also, I enjoy having deep conversations. All in all, I believe in kindness, respect, and understanding and expect the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I like to experience new places with people who are already there and not be confined to a hotel or a tourist trap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a part of a month-long. Fulbright-Hays Group Study Abroad trip to South Africa in 2010. My research focus was media and the arts in Apartheid and how they affected democracy.
