To keep life interesting

ABOUT ME

I am free-spirited and curious. I love all manner of adventuring. If you hang out with me, I will convince you that packrafting is the greatest thing ever. I love to meet new people and get along with most everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hosting people in Boston when I can and will be looking to surf a bit myself while doing research in Iceland this summer. Please read the "My Home" section before sending a surfing request to make sure it will be a good fit for your plans!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted some while I lived in San Diego and then crashed with a dude while I was diving in La Paz, Mexico.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010, I was part of a relief mission to help Pakistan recover after the devastating floods that resulted from a record-breaking monsoon season. I flew the length of the Indus river at 200 feet in a helicopter, starting in the Indian Ocean just outside Karachi and landing at the base of the Himalayas near the Tarbela Dam. For six weeks, I flew out from an airbase there into remote villages in valleys surrounded by 20,000 foot peaks. We fed those that wished to stay and evacuated those that didn't. Although we were working 16-20 hours a day, it was the most fulfilling experience of my career. To get to help those most in need while experiencing a place and culture few Americans ever get to was a once in a lifetime experience.
