About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To connect with other couchsurfers in Korea!

ABOUT ME

Life is short, and time moves fast. That said, I try to value every second of it; I love deeply, I am extremely honest as well as highly uncoordinated. I've been described as both abrasive and goofy, and I usually have a good story to tell.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it's all over much too soon. -€ Woody Allen

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I do not have a couch (in Korea) I want to meet and connect with other surfers in the area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not yet surfed myself, but I've met other surfers - their experiences are always great, they always have a really excellent story to tell about the different people they've been able to connect with - I've had alot of fun with them.

Interests

I'm always up to learn something new, I love to read (I will read anything and everything), music, yoga and health (fitness in general), food (although, maybe I should say, I'm a vegetarian).

Music, Movies, and Books

That's a difficult one to list. I go through genre moods weekly. Right now I'm listening to Edith Piaf, last week it was Starfucker. Books are even tougher. Ask me what I'm reading, I love to talk about literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A year after my father's passing, I spoke about him to an auditorium full of people - students, cops, town members (a youth leadership academy had named an award after him). I moved the crowd to tears, not because I was a particularly good speaker, but because the entire room was so - empathetic, and felt my pain. The depths of human compassion continue to astound me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a bit about literature (if you're interested, I wrote my thesis on the contemporary fairy tale, I can talk your ear off on that subject). I have taught Italian in my past, and I'm currently an English teacher. I would like to learn Korean, but I also love to learn in general - anything you'd like to teach, I'm your willing student.
