关于我
Hello! My name is Casey. I'm 27 years old and I work as a Veterinary Technician (vet nurse) in an emergency vet hospital. I've had a pretty rad life so far. When I was 12 I visited Australia for a month as a student ambassador. The experience was once-in-a-lifetime, and it really impacted my love of traveling and reaching out of my comfort zone. After high school I felt lost and I took a year off before going to college. I found myself in a World Class Drum and Bugle Corps. I spent several months performing my heart out and traveling the USA while sleeping on gymnasium floors and living out of a coach bus. It taught me a lot about myself, the amazing things I could accomplish by sheer will, and an appreciation for a nomadic lifestyle. I buzzed through college and threw myself headfirst into my career. I took the first job that came my way. It was in a small town with small-minded people. I felt claustrophobic and after a few years I moved across the country to Portland: with just my car full of some belongings, my best friend for moral support, and my cats. I've been here since and I've never felt more at home in a stationary place. I live with my amazing/goofy boyfriend Chris and our two furbabies Bagheera and Raja (both cats).

I haven't lived in Portland long, but finally feel settled enough to become a host. I'm infatuated with travel and adventure, and I love meeting new people. I can't think of a better way to experience all of these while I'm personally not traveling than to become a host.

If I couldnt travel cheaply then I wouldn't travel at all. My best friend and I are slowly learning the ropes on budget traveling. It's almost become a competition between the two of us on who can find the best deals or think of the least expensive options while still having great trips. I have a goal to visit 30 countries by the time I'm 30 years old, but I definitely have a ways to go.
Since moving to Oregon, I've grown fond of hiking, camping, and kayaking. The wilderness is absolutely gorgeous here, you can't help but fall in love with it.
A night out for me involves drinking IPA's at a local brewery, finding live music, and hitting up a great food truck.
I love my cats. One doesn't have a mean bone in its body, and the other can be a sassy pants. They are total little weirdos who definitely make my house feel like home.

音乐、电影和书籍
Music- I can never remember who plays what. I forget lyrics to almost every song and I make them up as I go. So although that clearly says I'm not a devout music-enthusiast, I do believe in the power of music. I love different songs from every genre, and love finding new music to obsess over for two weeks before feeling hungry for something else.
Movies- Anything but Horror. I'm a total wuss and can't do scary.
Books- the Harry Potter Series, The Giver, Farenheit 451, Wild : just to name a few
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Survived being hit by a car at 80mph (only broke my thumb! What?!)
教,学,和分享
Teach-some rockin' dance moves and cool handshakes
Learn-Maybe some phrases in different languages!
Share- an awesome time!

All joking aside, I'm mostly interested in meeting different people; whether we have similar interests or not. I'm happy to play tour guide and show you around Portland or give you suggestions. I also want my guests to feel at home. I'm up for sharing a good home cooked meal/or delivery, sharing my wifi(as previously joked)/Netflix/Hulu/ect, and my cats' attention.
