ABOUT ME

I'm a yes man. I like doing things and meeting people and seeing cities from the ground, preferably via bike, and doing what the locals do. I like local beer, independent coffee shops, good music, and trees. Big fan of trees and cities and people. I also love a good story, smiling, and looking around. I generally like things. I'm constantly happy, and I love sharing it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am basically brand new to this, but I want to get involved as much as possible. I would love to show people a good time and tell them about the place I live, and visa-versa if I go there. I plan on using this a lot this summer when I go to Europe, so I'm getting on it.

All sorts!! Dr. Dog, Between the Buried and Me, Gogol Bordello, Minus the Bear, The Head and the Heart, HORSE the band, Modest Mouse, Dawes, Portugal. The Man, Regina Spektor, Typhoon, Sassparilla, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc., etc. I am a big fan of music.

For books, anything about trees. I love trees and learning about them. As well as other things: Ishmael, Guns Germs and Steel, The Tree, The Song of Ice and Fire series, All My Friends are Dead, etc., etc.

And movies are so vast. Just assume I'll watch it.

Randomly went to New York City for Thanksgiving and met up with an astounding number of long-lost friends from the west coast for one of the best reunions/Thanksgiving dinners/First Time New York trip ever.

I know trees. If you want to know something about trees, forestry, urban forests, arboriculture, and plant things and landscape architecture, I am your man. I love teaching people about trees. Also, I love learning things. Mostly about urban landscapes and history and why things are they way they are, and whatever someone wants to tell me about. I am very interested in things, so I'm very willing to listen.
