ABOUT ME

i constantly strive to learn new things, it seems i can never be satiated in this sense - and with this comes a desire to meet many many people - every new person is a new set of eyes through which to see the world. As we are all infinities of a greater Whole, i want to know who else is made of the same stuff as me - and so that includes everyone and everything on earth.

i love languages, traveling, art, music, and learning about philosophies and real people - not the fake kind.

i watch movies. i do not watch tv, its in my opinion a major downfall of our society.

I do morning pages, i think everyone should.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently i cannot offer much hospitality other than my company and wherever my car can take me/us.
In the past i have wanted offer my appartment, however have never really gotten into Couchsurfing until now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is increasing. Friends of mine are avid hosts and also an ambassador of Pittsburgh couchsurfers and through his/their experiences I have become increasingly interested in the organization and all it has to offer everyone involved. Truthfully, there are incredible people in the world who want to see it and meet others, real people from all over and couchsurfing offers those experiences which are priceless.

Interests

Roadtrips, traveling, books, philosophy, enlightenment, collective consciousness, string instuments especially cellos and violins, Irish music, cooking, being on land, being at sea, kayaking, camping, horsebackriding, hiking, biking, cups of tea, cups of Ciobar, fireside stargazing, crewhouses, classical music, Indian music, henna art, pottery wheels, pears, blueberries, peaches, red wine, cream soda, ice cream, wildflowers, pen pals, past lives (though self-fullfilling prophecies concern me to explore mine), magic, juggling, flying kites, summer storms, bonfires on the beach, getting packages and letters in the mail, sketching faces with charcoal and chalk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gypsy encampment behind a mega-cinema south of Rome, Italy - thats an eyeopener.
Also, border-hopping a bit.
Dublin and Galway Bay, whitewater kayaking, playing with Yo-Yo Ma when i was 6.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach Italian. I sketch people. I play a few notes on my cello. I make jewelery. I speak a little French. I make photographs. I know a great deal about absenthe, Italian theatrical troops - commedia dell'arte, and i'm still learning a thing or two about nautical knots.
I'm happy to teach what i can.
