About Me

Looking for a place I can call HOME. I'd like to have a conscientious and safe journey throughout =) To keep growing in empathy & sensibility towards the environment and ppl around me

I'm a person with honest intentions. In love with nature, warm light, art, TRAVELLING & special love for my son Sebastian, good friends & family.
If you go through some of my many pictures, there's a special photo folder: GREENLAND

*"*Unfortunately we hosted a person that (we realised bit late) is compulsive, rude & emotionally unbalanced, she left a fabricated NEG ref. The other ones speak for themselves and show the real picture =) ***

LAUGH as much as possible, feel the moment, don't dwell on unnecessary things. Cycle and walk more, it's just highly more positive in every sense!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted and been a guest about 300 times both ways, attended countless meetings and learning/teaching groups, outings, daytrips, organising a few outdoor-sports activities (in Mexico, Istanbul and UK) ... I think this is enough for now no?! ;)
Funny enough, I appear briefly in the CS introduction video, in CS's main page (1 min 22secs time mark) Also I appear on the families CS video, there, more extensively :)

All over Europe, Mex. Morocco and Trky being a guest, hosting in Istanbul, England and Mexico. I've hosted around 150 ppl from Hosp.Club, Be Welcome & CS and been hosted more than 150 times :D

PHOTOGRAPHY, CINEMA, ART, TRAVELLING, walking/hiking, cycling, sailing, FRISBEE and any outdoor sport like skiing and snowboarding (haven't done much in last years) Making new and exiting friendships. Striving to become a better person, more acute to others interests, lifestyles, cultures, traditions, savouring every trip and every friendship :o) Being empathic and understanding, so on and so on...

Music, Movies, and Books

FILMS: SO MANY! specially French, Spanish, Brazilian and Latinoamerican Cinema, some Korean as well. I like independent and arthouse films, I have an eclectic taste.

BOOKS: the same as films, don't have favourite writers or themes, if the book grips me then I'm hooked.

MUSIC: Muse, Placebo, JJ72, James, MANO NEGRA (spent a few days with them in '92 in MexCity & Tij), Manu Chao (met him many times over the years).LOUISE ATTAQUE, RIDAN, Yann Tiersen, Bertrand Betsch, Mickey 3D, Tarmac, Florent Marchet. Myslovitz (Poland), Caifanes, Cafe Tacuba (Mexico), Soda Stereo, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Cesaria Evora. I listen to a wide range of music specially Lationam & French, also World Folk, world beat & Classical. 80's music: OMD, the Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo & bunnymen. The late 80's & early 90's 4AD bands and since living in Istanabul: BALKAN music!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

on a trip to Bora Bora, I had the chance to swim surrounded by 100s of sharks, they were all sizes up to 2 meters long, also there were huge black mantarays, gorgeous like underwater birds! it was the most exhilarating feeling, I felt so alive, it was indescribable!! =)

Snorkeling with whalesharks in Philippines 😃it was surreal, like being in a wonderful dream!

Hitch-hike across New Zealand! :D

*MUSE live in Vienna 2004, after the release of "Absolution" (1 meter away from the singer; Matthew Bellamy) just 900 ppl in the gig =)
*Red hot chilli peppers with NIRVANA live in San Diego Ca.(1991)
*RADIOHEAD & Manu Chao in San Francisco Ags 2008.
All of them unforgettable high energy concerts. Even though I attended over 200 gigs (most for free) these 3 resonate in me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to have language exchange e.g. Spanish or English with FRENCH, PORTUGUESE, GREEK or TURKISH. Even Italian so I don't forget even more :(

What I Can Share with Hosts

Possibly a tasty Mexican meal or more as long as we find enough ingredients. Some interesting chats, exchange of cultures and funny anecdotes :)
