About Me

*Not accepting guests until September*

First of all, it's great to meet you!

My name's Casper, and I'm a Belgian-Polish expat living in Osaka, Japan. My fiancee is Spanish-American and is currently not living in the same country as me.

I work in Logistics and IT Support, and I like languages and cooking. And a ton of other things ;)

You're free to text me about crashing at my tiny apartment after checking out the details I've provided.

I am willing to host you for free for your first 2 nights. After that, we can come to a win-win agreement in private if you would like to stay for 3 days, 1 week, 1 month etc.
Also, I like to have a (WhatsApp) videocall before commiting to any stay. ^^

Hope to see you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To keep in touch with the non-Japanese world outside of my daily bubble, which is pretty much the opposite of 'diverse'.

Interests

Exploring whatever city I'm currently living in, meeting international people, studying languages, cooking, and casual gaming on the fun side of things.

Supply chain and IT stuff on the nerdy side of things ;)

  • animals

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on the mood, all music is an option. If you want to show me your favorite songs, I'm all ears.

Don't like tragedies, neither in fiction nor in reality. I read far more than I watch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing under a massive waterfall was certainly awe-inspiring. Buying a tiny apartment in Japan was pretty exciting. Lots of things to talk about!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you more about life in Japan if you're curious.
Would love to learn more about your country from you, about your experience in Japan, about whatever it is you'd like to talk about!
Will definitely share food with you if you allow it xd

What I Can Share with Hosts

Got my own tiny apartment in Osaka City, Taisho. You'll sleep well on any of my proper, high-quality mattresses and get enough blankets, and pillows, as well as access to all utilities (incl. WiFi Kitchen Aircon).

However, the shower is basically a DIY cabin on the balcony, and we have to be quiet at night, because there's only a shoddy door in between our two rooms.

I can make it feel as if you've got your own little space, but again, this IS nothing but a tiny 25 sqm apartment.

Also, I am clean, polite and communicative. I will expect the same of you to any and all reasonable degrees ;)
