I currently live in Boulder, but am originally from Minnesota. There's a stereotype called "Minnesota nice" -- Minnesotans tend to be friendly, positive, and enthusiastic. People tell me I fit this description well!

I love many types of music. My lasting favorites include Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, all of Jack White's projects (The White Stripes, The Dead Weather), all of Justin Vernon's projects (Bon Iver, Volcano Choir), and music that is generally old-timey, folksy, and/or bluesy. Lately, I have been really into Hawaiian slack key guitar and exploring all the varieties of jazz.
