Travel the world while working in education, and meeting new people!

ABOUT ME

I am from British Columbia but this year I will be working in Edmonton. I am in the midst of my Bachelor of Education, I just have 3 courses to complete at UBC during the summer of 2015. After that I am very excited to see where in the world teaching will take me! It has already taken me all over BC and Alberta, resulted in a year in New Brunswick, and took me overseas to Kenya.
I absolutely love traveling and meeting new people and I don't pass up the opportunity to travel to new places.

Interests

Above all I enjoy being outdoors: running, hiking, biking, walking, anything. I love horseback riding but am a bit distanced from the sport now compared to when I was younger, lived in one spot, and was therefore able to have my horse. I also enjoy some activities in the home like baking and knitting, and then sharing these creations with others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of my most memorable travel experiences include:
2006: Seeing thousands of nesting sea turtles in the moonlight in Costa Rica
2008: Spending two weeks in Europe (Italy, France, and England) with my grad class
2011: Tree climbing and caving in Panama
2012: Driving across Canada, and in 2013: Checking off Canada's 10th province from my list. I can't wait to visit the territories!
2014: Watching the circle of life in Masaai Mara, Kenya
