I'm new to Couchsurfing but very keen to make the most of this amazing community.

I work as an Art Director in London making props and dressing sets for music videos and commercials. I'm lucky to be able to work freelance and take trips throughout the year.

I'm travelling to New York to catch up with an old friend from Melbourne who no longer lives in London and who I haven't seen for 3 years.

I'd really love the chance to get to know people living in New York and learn the local tips.

I'm a really keen cook, with a growing interest in wholefoods, natural recipes but I still love to make really decadent cakes at the weekends. I'd be keen to thank my hosts by taking them out for a meal or baking them some treats. Don't worry I'm a very tidy cook and good at cleaning up after myself.

I used to live with 14 people above an old pub, during that time we had a constant supply of couchsurfers, no website required so I've seen first hand what a difference a warm welcome can make to someone after a long flight or trip away from home.

I love to spend afternoons reading, in the park in the sun if we ever get any here in London.

I enjoy classes at my gym including boxing, metafit and spin. I'm learning to love yoga too.

I'm lucky that my main hobby of making, drawing and creating has turned into my career, I still love to make gifts for friends and clothes for myself in my spare time.

I just got to introduce someone to To Kill A Mocking bird and I think they loved it as much as me.

I have a weakness for awful old high school movies 10 things I have about you, Clueless etc. But my favourite director is Michel Gondry and his film the Science of Sleep was the reason I applied for my degree course and have ended up working on set. Of course Wes Anderson is also inspiration.
