ABOUT ME

I am a 26-year-old female currently living and working in the city of Chicago, though originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University where I studied journalism and photography, and moved to Chicago shortly after graduating. I love this city and highly recommend visiting if you have the chance!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just became a member of couch surfing and hope to find people in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver to host my best friend (girl) and I throughout our 9-day trip during the last week of June and first week of july. (2013)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used Couch surfing before. This will be my first experience! My best friend and I have planned a summer trip in the Pacific northwest and decided that couch surfing would be a nice way to make our vacation a bit more adventurous and a bit more affordable :) Both of us have travelled quite a bit for our age, and are looking forward to the possibility of meeting locals and finding out what the pacific northwest has to offer. We are also considering the possibility of moving somewhere within the Pacific northwest, which was the initial reasoning behind planning this trip.

Interests

Photography, cooking, eating, good beer, strong coffee, the occasional work out, any outdoor adventure, reading, live music and above all having unplanned adventures with my best friends and family.

SOME of my favorite music (in no particular order) includes: The Beatles, Radiohead, Beyonce, Amos Lee, Andrew Bird, Alt - J, Ellie Goulding, The National, Vampire Weekend, Youth Lagoon, Discovery, Kate Nash, Grimes, Janis, The Doors, The Shakes and this is where I stop for now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took an inner tube through the jungles and caves of Belize. One of the most beautiful things I have ever had the chance to experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

All walks of life, but for this trip in particular I am hoping to meet locals within Portland, Seattle and Vancouver (around my age) with similar interests who can give my friend and I some direction while traveling around the Pacific NW.
