About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To crawl into bed and not sleep 'cos I'm grinning too much about the day. To wake up early 'cos I can't wait for the next one.

ABOUT ME

Living in the East of England because of work but there are so many places to go. If I stick at my job for a bit it should help me travel in the next couple of years and beyond.
I live on a boat. It needs some work but that's fun to do. Drop by anytime, especially if you're good with a paintbrush!

PHILOSOPHY

There's usually a difference between normal and conventional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just starting out with couchsurfing but will have a couch as soon as my livingroom/galley is finished.
The kettle's always on so drop in!
If you want to fly at Bodyflight while you're in the area I can help you book in 'cos that's where I work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first Couchsurfing meet was 2 nights ago.
So many warm wonderful people - finding something truly life-changing is a rare thing but Couchsurfing is now on my list. Wonderful.

Interests

Freeflying, cycling, good coffee, good books, music that makes your brain go fizz and a bit of kiteflying(!)
New experiences, long walks and good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Decent comedy and any music really that makes me prick up my ears, from world to electronica to weird old stuff.
Currently reading 'As Used On The Famous Nelson Mandela' by Mark Thomas and some old Haynes mini manuals - and I've just finished The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene; brilliant, entertaining and has scared the pants off of me - we are so small!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on the team that took the record for the biggest group of skydivers to exit a balloon at the same time. Not the hardest record to beat (we just had to let go!) but the view, the balloon ride, tracking away from the balloon with my friends in the sun - really, really nice.
And - swimming off Kaikoura with hundreds of wild dolphins at sunrise - although an organised trip, it was a lot less 'fake' than other peoples' dolphin experiences seem to be - really emotional and very very humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're having trouble with your skydiving I can coach you; I can pack your reserve too.
I know some good places to visit in the UK and abroad and I can make a good cuppa too. (Biscuit anyone?)
I want to learn to paraglide and snowkite, and use my brain a bit more.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
