Hello! My name is Catherine and I'm living abroad in France for a school year. I am hoping to travel and experience as many countries as I can during my stay in Europe! I love meeting new people, sharing experiences and culture, and traveling (of course).

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and love sharing my Southern culture with new people.

I'm currently planning a trip through Eastern Europe that includes Wroclaw, Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, cities in Germany, and ending in Amsterdam! I would love to stay with people that share my passion for traveling and good discussion!

One of my favorite things to do is sit around a table with some wine and talk about life with friends. I love learning new things especially from new people who have different experiences from my own. I can have a conversation about pretty much anything! I'm a positive person who loves being around positive people who enjoy life.

I'm on couchsurfing because it is a great way to meet friends in different countries and a great way to experience new cultures! The best way to learn about a new place is through the eyes of someone who knows and loves it well!

I'm not currently in a situation where I can host people, but once I get back to Louisiana I look forward to hosting people at my place as well! The types of people that you meet on CS are the people that I would want to meet in a new city anyways. They always seem to be passionate people who love their city, meeting new people, and love learning new things!

I absolutely love music and all genres. I can be listening to classical piano one minute and party music the next! I typically drift towards folk/alternative bands like Mumford and Sons, Head and the Heart, Avett Brothers, etc. I also really love bluegrass/country music!

Honestly, I love all music so this is a very difficult section to fill out. I often spend my weekends listening to live music of all kinds!

As a teacher and lifelong student I am always learning and sharing new things...I wholeheartedly believe that we never stop learning. I am currently an English assistant in Rennes, France but I am a certified French teacher in Louisiana! I can teach much more than just language as I love to teach about my culture and experiences. I also know some AWESOME drinking games :)
