Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing so i can live the true experience of a city when i visit it and have more local context on the impact of being a tourist in their place might ben like…
I’m not always better than other Tourists and not am in places to avoid other tourists when I might be a big part of the problem myself… Decolonizong my view of the world means sitting at the table with locals and asking them what they think of things instead of seeing what I want to see and just self full filling stereotyoes I have about the world.

Interests

I am very passionate about many fields which turns into a difficult everyday struggle to pursue them all ! I love learning about neuroscience, psychology and philosophy and am infinitely astonished with what we have and still will conquer in these fields ! I am an absolute enthusiast in all forms of art which is what always attracts me the most from city to city. Photography, Drawing, Sculpting, etc... I have always loved stereograms and wish to produce some myself one day ! From yoga and meditation to running and swimming, my weekly interests and activities expand enriching me in every way i can find :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Again and again go to events or places following a gut instinct that I wanted to try it but not having so much context on what it would include. Being open to meet those whose don’t agree with me on manh things and still holding my values strong…
This has made me experience ups and downs, get 3 masters degrees, have motorbike accident, publish a scientific paper, have an art exhibit, work in a war zone, have a few heartbreaks and make life long connections :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of the portuguese culture and gastronomy. I am vegan and can cook very delicious amazing dishes inspired from cuisines I have visited as well :). I can help with design or IT problems :) But most of all i hope i can share my view of the world and let it be changed by my hosts values and beliefs :)
