I've experienced life through many different lenses, including as a large-scale artist, carpenter, Waldorf kindergarten teacher, running a dog walking company, running a Permaculture-based landscaping company, and a lot more. Through it all I've had a passion for writing, and I'm now trying to combine that with my love for Permaculture, travel, and championing what I call "Radical Human Potential" as the focus of my life.

I love meeting people and get along with nearly everyone, everywhere I go. I have so much of the world left to meet. I'm now finally realizing a very long-standing dream of leaving the United States, and I'm overjoyed to be stepping into this next phase of my life.

My diet is predominantly vegan/pescatarian and gluten-free to support my health and healing through an autoimmune disorder, but it's also a priority to me to be as open as possible and celebrate *all* that other people and cultures find delight in sharing with me. :) I will joyfully try most things at least once!

I deeply believe that the people like us -- that travel, host, and connect -- have an incredibly important purpose to strengthen our understanding and connection with each other as one incredible, conscious, single organism on (with) this planet. Very much in the same way that mycelial networks serve to connect vast forests and more. :)

I'm soon moving to Portugal! While I will eventually be settling into a room with a lovely woman just outside of Coimbra, I am interested in connecting with others as much as possible while I travel a little before I get there. I'll arrive in Lisbon in early July, and then I'll have a few days to explore. After that, I'll get settled in Coimbra, but I have much interest in further exploring the country once I have my feet on the ground.

I've been working very hard to learn Portuguese, and I'd be SO delighted if anyone is interested in helping me practice!

I adore music, and it's hugely important to me to be as open minded as possible to all of it (and I'm rarely disappointed, anyway). You never know when a song you would never have listened to by yourself could become the key to an incredible memory. In my own time though, I am constantly on the hunt for the music and sounds that no one has heard yet. :) (It can be a bit of an obsession, at times.) I think sharing music with others is one of the greatest joys in this existence.

I love movies, but as I get older I have a hard time sitting down to watch them. I love to be outside or doing other things with my hands and mind. But I still deeply appreciate when someone gets me to sit down to experience one of their favorites though! There is some truly incredible art out there.

For books, I love everything from The Lord of The Rings/The Dark Tower/Kafka on The Shore, to books on plants, permaculture, and herbalism, to books on self-development, mindfulness, the chakra system, heart perception, tarot/the occult... You name it. I'm an eternal student!

I designed and built a 28' x 28' wooden temple/art installation for a large festival/event connected to Burning Man in Miami, Florida, with a team of 100% women! (The event's theme was celebrating 100 years since women won the right to vote, and the temple was designed to honor the almighty bee.) :)

I'm an unsinkable student, utterly in love with learning. It's my delight to share -- sometimes with maybe a little too much enthusiasm -- the things that I'm learning or have learned and find super interesting. Anything truly good is worth sharing. :)

It comes naturally to me to contribute to any place I stay, and it brings me genuine joy to do so. I love finding ways to help out around the space, whether it be cleaning or doing the dishes, lending two extra hands to a project, or any other opportunities that present themselves. I have many skills. :) I love hearing/sharing stories and experiences, and I find something truly interesting in everyone. I can cook too (it runs in my family), but I don't find myself drawn to doing it very much! I spend a great deal of my time solo, see... :)

I also have a *ton* of professional experience with dogs/animals (nutrition, boarding, walking, training), and can happily help out there, as well.

I'm intensely responsible, compassionate, and aware -- it's imperative to me to respect others' space and boundaries, to maintain peace and quiet at the appropriate hours, and to keep my own space clean and tidy. I like to behave as if I could be welcomed back again someday!
