hi, my name is caterina, i am swiss from basel, but have an italian grandmother and used to go to italy very often as a kid. i'm a scientist about to finish my second degee in medicine, but also love languages, am interested in other cultures and enjoy (creative) writing. my favourite sports are climbing, dancing (salsa), swimming and horse riding (the latter unfortunately not on a very frequent basis).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to get to know a lot of people all over the world, first of all to visit places in a different fashion, but also to practice my languages.
I am happy to show you around in basel; our local sport (rhein swimming) allows to visit the city from a different perspective, let me know if you are interested (only for good swimmers).

I'm open-minded, can offer my languages (i speak french and spanish on b2; the remaining ones on c1/c2 level), some basic medical advice in an emergency (i'll graduate in about 1y, but already have some experience), or give you hand in general.
