Hi guys! I'm Cathal, I'm 23 and I'm from the west of Ireland. I'm a spoken word poet and a musician and what I really want to do is write books. I love to travel and to meet new people, and to make music with them too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm doing some travelling before college starts in September and I've had couch surfing recommended to me by a few friends. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite books would be a very long list but I love Roald Dahl, Terry Pratchett and Louis de Bernieres and I'm currently making my way through A Song of Ice and Fire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19 I travelled India solo for 6 months. It's something that has stuck with me and I'll be heading back the second I can manage.
Last week I snowboarded down a mountain for the first time! I went from the top to the bottom like a slinky but I was still happy.
