I am an undergraduate Biology student, completing an industrial placement in Chiang Mai this year. Spending a year abroad has, so far, been the most interesting experience on a number of levels and I am certainly getting the bug for more similar adventures

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is a wonderful concept for people that travel- as a way to keep the budget low as well as being able to meet local people or people that live in the area. It is also a humanitarian leap of faith- a way to beat the fear many seem to have that people are not to be trusted.
Although I am not in a position to host or be hosted at the moment, I am enjoying meeting fellow couchsurfers and hangers-on at the meet-up events!

Interests

My main interests are eating food and doing sports or activities. I always like to have active things to do- say, go to a lake for a day-trip, or try rock climbing, or find a new cafe down a soi I have yet to check out.

Moving to Thailand is pretty amazing, and playing squash professionally for a year before university.
