About Me
Hey, I’m Cat, an Aussie who’s been living in the Dolomites for the past year and making the most of every chance to travel. Back home, I work in marketing in the property development industry, but right now, I’m taking a break to explore more of the world.
I love hiking, skiing, and anything that gets me into the mountains, but I also enjoy a good social drink and live music—something I’ve been missing a bit while living in the Alps! I’m always up for a good conversation, whether it’s about travel, culture, or just swapping stories over a wine with a touch of Aussie humor.
If you’re curious about life in the Dolomites or Australia or just want to exchange travel tips, I’m always happy to share.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People make the place!
For me, travel isn’t just about ticking off destinations—it’s about the connections I make along the way. I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and sharing moments with locals. Couchsurfing offers a way to do just that, creating experiences that go beyond typical tourism.
I enjoy getting off the beaten track and discovering the hidden gems of a city, whether that’s through a local’s favorite café, a spontaneous adventure, or a shared meal and conversation. For me, the best way to experience a place is through the eyes of those who call it home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Coolest Thing I’ve Done!
A year ago, I quit my corporate marketing job to go on an adventure—with no real destination or plan in mind. It turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. Over the past 12 months, I’ve been based in the Dolomites, soaking up mountain life, but I’ve also spent months traveling through Greece, Albania, Morocco and Montenegro. Every day, I feel like the luckiest person alive to have had this experience, and even better, I’ve discovered a passion for the mountains that I never knew I had.
Some of my biggest highlights? Hiking to the summit of Mt. Olympus in Greece, doing hut-to-hut via ferrata routes in the Dolomites, and embracing a lifestyle of adventure, spontaneity, and meeting incredible people along the way.
