About Me

I´m passionate about traveling and do so whenever there's the opportunity whilst trying to balance it with work and spending time with my lifelong friends and family. I'm very open to different perspectives and quite interested in learning as much as I can from life in order to share it afterwards as a teacher.
My goal in life is to life calm and appreciate the little things and the very special people I meet along the way. Also, I hope to someday be able to contribute something important to help the world be a better place through education, which, I believe, is not only about transmitting knowledge but also helping people to realize themselves as individuals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love to travel and think that the better way to do so is by getting in touch with locals who actually help you live, share, experience and understand the culture of the place you are going.
It is also important to me to get to know people that think different because that is when one has the most amazing experiences that challenge what you believe and the most interesting conversations.
Finally, I also think couchsurfing helps make the world a nicer place by helping people to share ideas and take care of each other.

Interests

Traveling, of course, along with reading, painting, movies and tv shows, anime and overall learning about almost anything; from handcrafts to philosophy and almost everything in between. Oh! and also cooking and outdoor activities!

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore Radiohead, Portishead, Adele, Fito Páez, Mercedes Sosa, Epica and Muse, among others. They do not have that much in common but I would say that some create meaning with the complete ambiance they generate and others through profound verses.

Regarding books, well, I could like almost any book as long as it makes me feel something (good or bad), but it also depends on how I spend my time. If there is much to do, I prefer easy-reading books such as The hunger games and Harry potter, which remind to direct whatever I´m doing towards helping the world. However, when I have a little more time in my hands I enjoy reading philosophy and universal literature.

Lastly, I like weird films that make me think, inspire me or have amazing effects. I love the LOTR trilogy, along with The Hobbit, as well as The Matrix, Mr. Nobody, La sociedad de los poetas muertos, Eat Pray Love, Memento, The fight club, Cashback, The fountain and everything from Aronofsky, Avengers, Batman, most of woody allen, and Gattaca from the top of my head.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel to the Tayrona Park, one of the most beautiful places I've seen.
Bungee jumping (where I actually broke my arm).
Backpacking around europe with my dad (not knowing half the time where we were going).
Paragliding above the Cañon del Chicamocha and Rafting along its river with the love of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is a process of constant learning and sharing and one should not let it pass by worried only about work, as modern society would have you do most of the year. If everybody would find one little thing or moment to fully appreciate every day, the world just might be a better place; plus, a smile goes a long way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately, it is common in Colombia to life with your parents until well after your 20's and I still do, so I can not offer a couch for the moment. However, I am happy to show you around and recommend great views, resturants and things to do :) .
