ABOUT ME

Currently in Chambery, France. Before this I went to University of California in Santa Cruz and studied Environmental Policy. I'm especially interested in water policy, but I studied many aspects of environmental studies, from sustainable agriculture to ecology to laws. I'm in France to work, learn the language, and explore another part of the world! The wine, cheese, and baquettes are just a bonus :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately cannot host anyone right now (you probably would not want to stay with a family with three little boys anyways) but wait a year and I'll gladly host you in California!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roommates in Santa Cruz, CA hosted many couchsurfers while I was in University, so even though I haven't hosted personally I have met and entertained many. I loved to cook with our guests, drink the alcohol they almost always brought, and show them a beautiful hike through the Redwoods :)

Interessen

I love to be outside hiking, camping, or just wandering around a new city. I ride horses, go biking, swimming, and a bit of winter/water skiing.
I enjoy cooking, baking, and being in the kitchen/around friends and food-two things that go very well together :)

Music: Very varied- from oldies to Chopin to old school hip hop to indie rock to reggae, just not super into metal or top 40 hits.
Movies: Comedies, Ponyo (as well as all Mayazaki films), nature documentaries, actually most documentaries, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Monty Python, really quite a few
Books: Stephen King, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Ender's Series, Poe, W. Samerset Maugham, Steinbeck, J.R.R. Tolkien, Crime and Punishment

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can bake a pretty excellent (and very American) apple crumble pie, which I would gladly bake and share with you ;) I'm very slowly learning the guitar and want to learn some basics of drawing/sketching.
