Hey, I'm a 23 year old student of Education for the subjects History, German and Religion and I just finished my one year of exchange at McGill University in Montréal. During the exchange I lived in an international community and thus got to know people from all over the world, which I enjoyed a lot! Although I've travelled around twenty countries in Europe by car, train, bike, bus, or hiking, this is only my second time outside of Europe.
I grew up with my family (my parents, my two younger sisters, a bunch of rabbits, and a cat) in the Southwest of Germany. I'm definitely a family-person. Before I came to Montréal I've been living in the city of Freiburg for four years. I love Freiburg because it's so full of students, but mainly because it's surrounded by the Blackforest where I can do my favourite sports such as running, hiking, biking, or skiing . I love nature, animals and being outdoors. Also I just re-started rock climbing in a gym and would love to go climbing outdoors one day.
I also like playing and listening to music a lot. I've been playing the flute in several bands and orchestras for more than 12 years, I like to sing and I started to play guitar last year (althoug I'm afraid I've lost everything because I haven't practiced since I'm in Canada). In general, I'm an open-minded person who loves to travel, discover new places and meet people from different cultures.

Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Rings! Apart from that I like to read any fantasy or historical novels and some classics, also, I still love Astrid Lindgren's children's books (Pippi Longstocking and co. :)). I listen to a lot of pop, rock, some indie and some folk.

I did volunteering on an eco-farm in Ireland with a very basic lifetyle close to nature, where I got to know amazing people and was surrounded by beautiful nature.

I like to cook and would be happy to cook and bake for or with you and to exchange some favourite recipes (my pumpkin cookies are legendary). Also I'm good at fixing stuff and doing craftsworky decorations. If you're into music, I'd love to sing or play together with you. Although I don't know the area of Vancouver at all, I'm kind of experienced in hiking, camping and other outdoorsy activities and probably could give you some advice in this field if you want to. Finally, I know how to start a fire if that's of any use ;) and I can juggle ;).
