ABOUT ME

Grew up in Auckland, NZ and have a lot of good memories from there though I haven't been back in a long while. I've lived in Sydney for the last 8 years though have spent some time in other places, like Wollongong and Tweed Heads. I've got brown eyes, black hair and umm... I wish I was taller.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a Buddhist background so I seem to have some Buddhist tendencies... such as trying not to squash bugs and being vegetarian. But I wouldn't call myself a fully-fledged believer or anything. I guess I'm still trying to decide. But I do believe strongly in having a positive outlook on life. It's a bit corny, but I think the state of one's mind is the most important thing and it's something that you need to work at constantly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just started couchsurfing so I'm keen to get more experience. When I go home to Sydney I would like to host people.

Interests

Art, books... yoga when I actually stop travelling and have time to do it. I also like riding bikes (not that I'm all that good at it). Love pets, especially dogs and cats. Doodling on random pieces of paper and drawing people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I like a wide range, including Tom Waits, Beatles, Bjork, Edith Piaf.....
Books - recently read "My Journey to Lhasa" and "Mr Nice"
Last movie I saw - Batman (Dark Knight). Loved Heath Ledger in it, though I'm not normally a fan of Hollywood movies. Movie before that - "My Winnipeg" pretty wierd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Vipassana meditation was beautiful... 10 days of silence and it was very, very, very challenging. I would like to do another sit or a serve but maybe when I go home.
