ABOUT ME

Cathy is half German, half Irish and grew up in Freiburg while Karl is Irish and grew up in Co Tipperary.

We are a happy couple that love to travel, meet people and in general just live life to the fullest.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to take part in the CS project to meet people and have some fun learning about different people-cultures-places etc. and also extend our hospitality to people that feel the same.

We listen to lots of different music, though we're not the biggest fans of dance music. We love going to live gigs. As for books, Karl likes crime fiction, Bill Bryson and Terry Pratchett, while Cathy likes authors like Murakami, Zeruya Shalev, Paul Theroux etc.

Some bands we like include: Ray Lamontagne, Manic Street Preachers, Iggy Pop, Soul Asylum, Maria Callas, Steve Earle, Hazel O'Connor, Rammstein and Tracy Chapman.

Movies we've enjoyed include: Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, mobster movies, Ronin, Eastern Promises, Bang Boom Bang, Smokey and the Bandit, Bollywood movies, the Matrix and too many others to list, comedies, thrillers etc.
