I'm Catarina and the one thing I hate the most is writing about me. I never know what to write about - should I tell them about that one time I pulled an all-nighter because I thought there was a ghost in my room; should they know that I love to write but can never get myself to finish a story unless it's about that guy that goes around breaking hearts; do they really have to know that I'm doing my best to be a better me but there are days that even breathing is hard? The answer is no, they do not. But would it be honest if I only said I am very funny, you'll totes love me, I'm not shy at all and it'll be a piece of cake to get the proper words out of me? No, it would not. So let's settle for this and hope I didn't just scare you away.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I feel like it's a great way of making friends whilst getting to know the culture they've surrounded themselves with. What a better way to know a place than having a local show it to you?

I know there's been a lot of controversy about people who've joined Couchsurfing just to get a place to sleep for free. If that's what you're worried about, I can assure you that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an honest experience, I'm looking for a friend I can share this and other experiences with. So, if you're not the type of host that takes a little bit (a tiny tiny bit) of their time to show their favorite places to go, to eat, to do some sort of "soul cleansing", then please don't accept my request. I'm looking for the real thing.

Interests

I'm interested in traveling and meeting people. I like honest people. Whether they sugarcoat the truth or not - honest people is where it's at. Also, artistic people - play an instrument, write a story, paint the sky, sing a song, make it beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh wow, after the "tell us about yourself" questions, the "tells us about your favorite music, movies, books" are the worst.

Music is my life. I don't care if it's instrumental, pop, rock or metal - I love music and I honestly hate labeling it. A few of my favorites can easily give you the idea of my favorite type of music - or so you think. My favorite type of music is any kind of music. Either way, for bonding purposes, The Script, All Time Low, Panic! at the Disco, Boyce Avenue and Fall Out Boy are my favorite bands. Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato are my favorite solo artists. Yep, I know. If you know any Portuguese artists, there's a high possibility that I know and love them. If you don't, I'll take care of it ;)

As far as movies go, I don't really watch them. I love Dead Poets Society, The Notebook, It's Kind of a Funny Story and About Time.

Now, let's not get into the topic of books. I love books, I have a lot and I want way too many. I read mostly fantasy, thrillers and the occasional novel. A lot of Young-Adult stories. A lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sadly, I haven't done anything amazing just yet, at least not by my standards. I'm working on it, though.
