About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a warm person that like couchsurfing style of life. I have been welcomed to several friends all over the world and like to welcome back people.
I often work, so you mostly have to make your own touristing in Stockholm but I am glad to give you a good map with streets, the mêtro and buses, also informations about museums, galleries and other interesting places and great panorama places, if you want.
If we both have time, we can sit down and take a breakfast, lunch or dinner in my kitchen or at my balcony, even in wintertime. I'd love to hear about your journey and your life in your country!
I like to walk and bike around Stockholm, to listen to audio books or music, most of all, jazz and classical music.
I am a member of www. turfgame.com which has given me more energy and many new friends.
I also love to be in the nature, listen to the nature's sounds and enjoy the silence.
I warmly welcome one guest or two (if possible) and PLEASE bring your own travel sheets (bed sheets that can be quite easy to carry, please look at link lower down), NOT sleeping bag.
I give you pillow, covering, bed, towel, soap, shampoo and conditioner!
I prefer verified guests , who has given their contact information, it´s a question about security for me as your host.
I don´t accept friends requests from people I do not know personally.
ABOUT THE SHEETS AND THE NATURE:
You can buy the so called travel sheets in all countries, they are lighter than ordinary sheets, or you bring paper sheets but it´s less good for the nature. You can use these sheets at the next couchsurfing place too! Here is a funny film where I bought my travel sheets ten years ago:

AABOUT ARRIVING TO MY HOUSE:
When we have decided that you are going to stay in my apartment, I will give you good instructions for how to come to me, only 7 minutes with the underground from Stockholm city center + 5 minutes of walk, to my city Solna.
I appreciate if you arrive before 21-22 o'clock as I often get up to work about 4 in the morning. If you know that you will arrive later than that, it´s better to stay at a hostel or hotel the first night.
From the airport Skavsta it takes 2 hours in to Stockholm city, from the airport Arlanda it takes 1 hour to the city. Then about half an hour to come to me because you have to buy access card (travel card) and travel the seven minutes with the mêtro / subway / tunnelbana / underground.
NOTE:
There is a house phone in the bottom floor until a certain time. So please make sure you have enough battery in your phone (or an extra power bank to your phone) to call me or send a text message when you arrive to the house and NEVER knock at the neighbour's door or windows!
PHILOSOPHY
I respect people´s religion and perceptions, though I myself is more of an agnostic person.
I eat anything and I know many really good restaurants in Stockholm, even vegetarians and vegans. You are also welcome to use my kitchen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
There is something special with coach-surfers! The coach surfing guests I have welcomed in my house have all been very pleasant. I am glad to hear about their countries and trips they've made.
In my apartment and outside you are NOT allowed to smoke. You need to go far away from the building. I would also appreciate if you don´t wear heavy parfumes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have coach-surfed with six hosts, 2018 in Montreal and Toronto, Canada and earlier years three times in Båstad and Malmö, Sweden. I have had several couach-surfing-guests in my apartment, from all over the world which has been a pleasure!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Laos 1979! The only "back-packer" in the country, said the british consul who at the airport gave me his car and chauffeur to go in to the city.
During my stay I walked around in Vientiane and got to know two laos-familys. One of the fathers, with whom I spoke french, got to the prison after my visit. He had been living "as a rich" and should learn how to behave. His mistake was that he had been going around with me on his motor-bike though it was a lack of petrol – I bought the petrol at the black market.
Three days in Laos was the best time of 3 months in South East Asia 1979!
