all about me...how to sum yourself up in a paragraph...i am open, always striving to learn, especially through others. what gets me going-music! chocolate! coffee! befriending strangers! swimming in the ocean in the nude! learning languages! exclamation marks!!!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing is constant, in a way, nothing is real...our reality is shaped by our attachments, desires, needs, and experiences, which work together to distract us from realizing that our subjectivity is more or less an entertaining illusion...i am living my life seeking to find a balance between realizing how meaningless my life and experiences can be, and yet how much infinite beauty there is in other people, in raindrops, in a concrete building...

Music, Movies, and Books

This may sounds pretentious but I love any music with SOUL-which can be anything! i wanna hear that passion!
i particularly enjoyed 'Good News For A Change' by David Suzuki. I like classics, like Madame Bovary, Crime and Punishment, Candide, contemporary lit., socially progressive books like 'The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander' which I recommend, especially for anyone working in the areas of education and/or childcare.
I love film. Im a sucker for Amelie. I enjoy older and foreign film. Le Chien Andalou fascinates me. Scandinavian film has its pulls. Id love to watch films with you!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the journey from san pedro de atacama, chile to the town of uyuni, bolivia through the salt flats of uyuni (the largest in the world) was one of the most incredible of my life. cacti over a 1500yrs old, high altitude plants over 3000yrs old, pink flamingoes living at 3900m above sea level, and giant dali-esque rocks sitting like game pieces in the middle of a high desert, one strangely shaped liked a tree. it was well worth the excruciating pains of altitude sickness combined with the digestive horrors of 'salchipapas'.

i would be delighted to share recipes, as cooking is huge passion of mine. i love to sing and have a rather large collection of camp songs in my memory, as well as beautiful songs of prayer from different parts of the world, would love to share these with you
