About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm developing my career as a filmmaker and my soul and experiences as a human being.

ABOUT ME

I work alot. I currently spend my days working for The World Poker Tour Production office. During that time I drift into daydreams of what I can be doing, of all the adventures I could be creating. When I go home at night I do my best to no longer day dream, but suddenly blast back into work mode and put into motion all of the things that will cause those daydreams to come true. To push not pursue my dreams, but to be them. Currently, I'm blasting off into the clouds, working round the clock to create one of the most spectacular shows on civil avaition. Check the pictures. Just a few months ago I found two friends who new a whole lot about planes. A month ago I took two those friends and two others and filmmed some of the most amazing footage I've ever seen of The Pitts Special. Now I'm working round the clock to get it cut, and bring the adventure to all of you!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey were the destination is a constant variant. It is more than simply a time span designed to achieve success, but an opertunity to explore and play. I try to always look for the good in every individual and believe strongly in forgiveness. Having flaws is the most beautiful aspect of being human. I also believe the most powerful tool we possess is our imagination. Every event in our life contributes to the strenght of our imaginations in the form of wisdom, which guides us along all points of possibility. I also feel that growing up is really nothing more than becoming more at home with yourself and developing the strenght to carry the responcibility that lies before you. It's got nothing to do with maturity. And Remember, everything is beautiful, even the stuff that hurts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a strong supporter of the cause. While I have little time these days, I do host when I can. Often times when I can't host, but know someone needs a place to stay, I go well outta my way, calling upon favors of friends, and find them at least a night or two somewhere. In the future, I hope to contribute more to the cite with the use of my skills and some interesting ideas that I once spoke of to Casey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed myself off the sight, but I have hosted and surfed many couches with friends, and on a few occations, complete strangers. I've been through the lower half of the US more times than I can tell. From coast to coast. When I get the chance, I often try to skip north. My most recent travels -- Oklahoma to visit friends and Fam. Road tripping across the west back to LA with stops in various cities to chill with old high school compadres. And I've driven the state of Cali. about four times in the past few months for work and vacation. Even had a random man named Bob find me stranded on the 101. He put me up, helped me get my car fixed, and gave me a few home brewed beers with some good conversation. Awesome dude who lives in Morro Bay. If you ever run into him, tell him I said thanks again.

Interests

Art, all kinds. I tend to use film as my main outlet, but I enjoy all of it. Philosophy, even when I don't agree, Politics. We have to be aware these days. There are too many power plays not to be. Culture in general. Poetry. I've also been very into journalism and history, skateboarding, photography, acting, backpacking, camping, roadtrips

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Man, I went to film school. there are just too many. If I only had one for the rest of life, it would be COOL HAND LUKE. Music: That's big too. I grew up on punk like Op. Ivy, Rancid, Blanks 77, COP, but I dig most anything. Biggest influences as of late, a lot of classical and jazz. It's what I'm using for a soundtrack. Percey Mayfield. Just shot a doc about him. Hell of a blues player. Hell of a rock and roller. Aesop Rock, Clash, The Band, Mos Def, Miles Davis, Modest Mouse, Mirah. Books: Tao Te Ching is always with me. Recently favorites have been The Lexus and the Olive Tree, The Little Prince, The White Boy Shuffle. Then theres favorites like The Things They Carried, Breakfast of Champions, and Catch - 22. My Girlfriend and I read to each other every night. The current book is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maitenance. And there is a catergory missing for us here in So CAl. Radio: Tom Hartman is the best thing about my morning. And Mr. Mark K. Germain is the best thing about my drive home. I do talk radio. And I am well informed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm.... Just one. Well, I once spent a week no trace camping across the rockies in Colorado. I spent the night one night on a ridge that had a cliff that overlooked two valleys that ran together. The trip was with six other people, some I knew well, some barely at all. It was definetely a strong spiritual and physical journey that I relished every minute of.

Teach, Learn, Share

Put bacon in the freezer for a short while before frying it to keep it from curling in the pan so much. The best way to shoot at a location you don't have permission for is to call the police and tell them your there. Then they think your suppose to be there. When you find yourself overwhelmed and angry with the universe, go outside, stair at the stars for 10 minutes and ask yourself if you think the universe is mad too. This should answer all questions, and calm you down.

What I want to learn -- everything I can, so please teach. I promise I will listen.
