About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Prepping for a trip to San Diego Comic-Con this summer. While I'm on the West Coast I hope to visit LA and San Francisco before flying home.

ABOUT ME

I love music, books, film, and travel, but mostly my friends and family.

5 years ago I started volunteering with the Dublin International Film Festival and in that time I've gone on to have jobs with the festival including Assistant Volunteer CoOrdinator and Assistant Venue Manager. I've gone on to work as Volunteer Manager and Front-of-House Supervisor at other festivals in Dublin too.

I spent a year living in Vancouver, Canada.
Canada was an AMAZING experience. Vancouver is so beautiful and eclectic. I travelled across Canada for my final 3 weeks and managed to visit most of the major cities etc. Jasper, Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Montreal, Ottawa, Niagara Falls and Toronto.

Being a massive fan of the Xmen movies I delighted in the opportunity to visit locations from all 3 films. Yep, it is true, I am a tv and film geek! :)
I also made sure to find and photograph the Bell-Tower in Niagara as I LOVE that movie!

I'm a massive fan of Stereophonics, 30 Seconds To Mars, Darren Hayes and Take That.
I'm addicted to sudoku and The Walking Dead - comics and tv! My brother introduced me to GeoCaching a couple of years ago, I'm no expert but I enjoy it for getting out of the house and seeing parts of Dublin from another perspective.

I'm still in mourning for Buffy/Angel/Roswell and Dawson's Creek - although I've a hefty box-set collection to get me through - and the comics help too!

And I've been obsessed with the Titanic since I was a kid - welllll before Kate & Leo - although that film and all the merchandise did nothing but fuel my obsession :D
I'm a girlie-girl - I like my rom-coms and boybands. But I also like my sports, been a kickboxer, tennis coach and gym freak. I'm as comfortable in jeans, a t and runners as I am in a dress, heels and lipgloss.

PHILOSOPHY

We're here for a good time, not a long time!

"I do not regret the things I've done, only those I did not do"

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift and that's why it's called the present :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to an injury almost 2 years ago, I'm back living with my parents and brother so unfortunately I don't currently have a couch to offer but I am happy to meet visitors to Dublin for a coffee or even to sight-see. I love viewing my home as a visitor. I can recommend the South-Dublin Bus Tour, I did it with a canadian friend and we had such a laugh! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I suffer from vertigo - so, a couple of things I was very proud of myself for,
i) Completing the Grouse Grind hike http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grouse_Mountain#Grouse_Grind
ii) Crossing Lynn Canyon suspension bridge without holding onto the edges
and
iii) Each time I visited a place I made a point of going up any towers/wheels/mountains to view the area from a high-point
It mightn't mean a lot to most people, but they were major accomplishments for me! :)

An amazing thing that has happened to me:
Sitting in a pub with Joss Whedon and my friends, totally freaking out on the inside that we were sitting in a pub with Joss Whedon!

Teach, Learn, Share

Until recently I was a tennis-coach so I can give some tips, I also played and taught traditional Irish music so I could bring a tin-whistle with me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
