I'm a robotics student from Purdue University. I'm in school full time in South Bend. I work as an electrical engineer at a glass encapsulation company in Niles, MI. I recently moved into a house. As I've been moving fairly frequently the last few years, I don't have much in the way of furniture yet including a spare bed. I do have a clean carpeted spare room, but it's unfurnished. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done a bit of traveling in the past. You don't get to see much of places you travel from a hotel room. I like to live cheap and simple. Plus this sounds like a great way to meet new people that probably think similarly. I also dislike spending so much for a hotel room when I really just need a place to sleep and shower. I found out about this website and it sounded perfect. I'm pretty open, so any questions, feel free to ask.

UPDATE(Aug 2017):
My internship turned into a job. So I'll be a part time student and will be moving to Niles permanently in the upcoming weeks.
