ABOUT ME
30-ish American, living and working in Turin, Italy. I studied International Relations and French, spent 2 years teaching in various cities in the United Arab Emirates, and then hopped over to Italia for a year more studying, and now work. I enjoy beer, history, politics, more beer, travel, and good books. It's hard to fit all that in with a job and sleeping and eating, but I try to make do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
New house, new couch! I even have an inflatable mattress, given that the couch is a bit small.
However, I travel a good bit for work, often on short notice, so I can't really guarantee that I'm around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Usually with friends - all across the USA and Europe. And I managed to let Phil surf my couch despite CS being blocked as "un-islamic" back in UAE

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Everything. Really, everything. I'll let you look through my mp3s if you don't believe me.
Books: Most recently, I'm on a nobel-winner kick with Naguib Mafouz and Gabriel Garcia-Marquez, though I'll read just about anything I find on the coffee table.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The great temple at Luxor and Karnak, Egypt.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spent 2 years teaching TOEFL, GMAT, and SAT courses.
I can order a beer in 8 languages, and want to learn more.
