About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking deeper into myself and the world to find where I'm fitting my gifts and passions

ABOUT ME

I love people and I love sharing stories. I love the way that a smile and joyful spirit are a common language. I love making new friends and learning from others' experiences. I am passionate about children in difficult situations and finding ways to make them feel their worth. I am going to Europe for two months on a tight budget to find some time to myself, outside of my comfort zone, and also to give back to different organizations throughout.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live serving others…I fail at that everyday but I also learn everyday a little more about the ways we are to care for one another. I'm not too big on this "American Dream" way of life I grew up seeing, so I'm trying to figure out how I fit into the bigger picture and live with purpose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this... and hoping to build some good relationships with people willing to give me a place to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm excited for my first...as I have heard good stories from friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy jumping genres and delights. I hardly ever finish a book or an album without moving to another thought, but I enjoy the eclectic collection of ideas I gather from inspiration.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most amazing two months were spent in an orphanage in Kenya where I was able to care for beautiful children and learn about running an NGO as well as the ins and outs of cooking, cleaning, farming, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love conversation.
I enjoy cooking.
I want to learn to meditate better.
I am hoping to learn new things I never thought I would.
