ABOUT ME

I grew up Courtice, Ontario; a small town 1 hour east of downtown Toronto. Growing up in a smaller town has, naturally, given me a small-town perspective on Canadian culture and what it is to be Canadian.

I graduated university in April 2015 with a Bachelors of Information Technology specializing in Networking and Security and I am looking forward to traveling as much as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm hoping my trip to Japan in 2014 will help me develop more of a personal philosophy. My philosophy, at the moment, is a melting pot of ideas from Neil Donald Walcsh, Ekhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra and James Redfield.

I like to live my life in a loose "live, love, laugh" mindset and I am a firm believe in "what goes around comes around".. perhaps why I love the idea of CS so much :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to host someone. Most people coming to my area would want to stay in Toronto and I'm too far for daily trips into the city. I'm currently researching a trip to Japan for September 2014 so I will hopefully surf there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about CouchSurfing from a random person I met while I was couchsurfing (before I knew the term) at my friend's place in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I thought it was an amazing idea so I joined up!

Interests

I am always interested in meeting new people and learning about their lives and their culture. I have a passion for comedy and I have a gift when it comes to computers. I also enjoy reading, in particular, thriller and fantasy novels. I have a passion for riding my motorcycle and playing pool (billiards)!

Music:
I listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. I love all kinds of music from reggae to rock and I'm always interested in hearing new music and different styles.

Books:
Like I said, I like reading thriller and fantasy. I've read all of Dan Brown's books (The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, Deception Point and Digital Fortress). I really enjoyed the Harry Potter series and I'm currently reading George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.
