One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming at peace with myself and my life as I sat stranded on an isolated white stone beach in Greece going in and out of consciousness due to hypoglycemia and sunken boats.

Type 1 Diabetes is a disease that isn't the person's fault. They didn't do anything to get it and they couldn't do anything to prevent it. But what we can do is educate ourselves, our families and our peers that it does not have to be the end of life as we know it. It just means that we have to be a more conscious of what we put in our bodies and our activities. Tailor your Diabetes management to your life, don't make your life revolved around your Diabetes.
