About Me

I'm a senior Chemical Engineering student in Akron, Ohio looking to make a trip around Europe before graduation. I previously lived in Aachen, Germany for 9 months to intensively study German. I've been away for a while but still understand it nearly perfect. I'm always up for exploring new places and love to have local guides.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for a fun way to meet new people while I travel through Europe. I'm also up for showing people around my city. I think it's always great to have a local to tell you about all the best things to see and do in the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to just about any kind of music. For example, I'm really in an Amy Winehouse and Jorja Smith kick, but I also listen to the Black Keys, Billie Eilish, Alt-J, and a ton of random German bands as well. It's hard to pinpoint favorites.

I also don't really have a favorite movie, but I like Quenton Tarantino's films as well as all things Studio Ghibli (really opposite on the spectrum lol).

As for books, I know for sure I lean towards mysteries and horror/suspense. One of my favorite books is "Let the Right One In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist. But as for all my other "favorites", I read a ton of other types of books as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess traveling is the exciting thing that comes to mind. My first flight was as an unaccompanied minor at 15 to Japan to stay with a local family. And more recently I lived in Germany for 9 months without knowing anyone in the city and after only googling language schools and meeting my roommates on a flat share website. Although that might be less exciting or nerve-wracking for some people, it was a big jump for me, but one that really tested what I thought I was capable of doing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If the host would want I would love to spend the time to go out to the city or just talk whenever I'm there. I could also cook a meal. I'll probably be trying to sightsee as much as possible since some of the cities will be new for me, but I would also be up for getting food or going out for a drink. Really whatever works with the host's schedule so I can still get to know a new person/make a new friend.
