I am travelling the Middle East and North Africa for a year

ABOUT ME

I suppose I could report the straightforward aspects of myself here (ie. where I'm from, what I do, my interests, etc.); however, the rest of this profile covers most of that information. This question of "All about me" is essentially why I am traveling this year; as a Watson fellow I am studying a topic of personal/academic interest in order to learn more about who I am and (as CS2 puts it) what "makes me tick." Perhaps, at the end of the year I can better answer this question, but here is some information I think I know now:
I have always been a lover of traveling, meeting new, different and interesting people, and being exposed to and learning about other cultures.
I have been told I am adventurous and I am not afraid to take a risk; however, that risk is never taken without the utmost planning and attention to detail, as I am a pragmatist and strive for perfection in all that I do.
I have a very "work hard, play hard" mentality, and I think it is equally important to pursue your interests or passions, as well as to take time for yourself to relax and enjoy life.

I am new to CS2, so for now I am trying to become acquainted with the community in the same ways I will become acquainted with the communities I am visiting this year. I hope to utilize the service through the year, and return the favor to fellow travelers once I return.
