About Me

Please, check out my profile photo! There is me with my niece on the back. We were preparing to go to the market and sometimes I take her in one of those bags for children bought in Dali, China. She is my greatest love since the very moment that her parents said to me that I would be aunt, I was so happy! And I still be. I think on her every day, every time. I live in Barcelona but I travel a lot to Marco de Canaveses (a rural context city near Oporto, my home town) to see her.
Actually I love talk and play with children, however, in a professional level I only work with adults. Since 3 years ago I get involved with the photographic documentary universe or more in general with photography. I started as wedding assistant, then I began my personal social projects and recently I won an international photography contest. I was granted with a master degree scholarship. Since last Septembre until February I studied Photojournalism in Universitat Autònoma Barcelona. Before that I studied Archeology and before Classic Music (double bass) and Sculpture. Check out my personal projects and travel photography web http://cecidef.com/ and my wedding/love Barcelona photography site http://www.barcelona-photographer.eu/.
My other passion are the animals and vegetales, the Mother Nature in general, The Earth Planet, I mean. I love to kiss my dogs as a tree or the Atlantic Ocean .
My name is cecília de fátima, my family call me sissi and my professional nickname is ceci de f (I always write my name on lowercase), and I am a portuguese citizen of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing for several reasons. I have a flat in a local and traditional neighbourhood on Oporto's downtown that I only use when I am there. Usually I spend my time in Barcelona where I work as photojournalist at the city newspaper El Periodico http://www.elperiodico.cat/ca/, and as wedding/love photographer http://www.barcelona-photographer.eu/

My flat is amazing (at least for me, maybe you will not share my opinion), inside and outside. I mean that inside is beautiful, still conserve old decor, is spacious, full of sun light and cosy, and outside you have great views to Douro's River.
Is a shame that most of time my flat is not used, is a waste!
On another hand as a citizen of the world I want to spend the rest the time of my life travelling and Couchsurfing is a great oportunity to know local people, habits and traditions and helps to spend less money.
