I am an educator and businessman from Alaska who needs to leave the arctic dark and cold every winter. I want to travel for about a month sometime between December and March. Just looking for some sunshine and warm while meeting some new people. I have a home and small farm here in Alaska and host people here as well as travel during my winter months. I'm a fairly quiet soul. I try to be healthy, don't smoke or drink. I'm not much of a partier. But I'm not nearly as boring as I may sound either. I just discovered couchsurfing before Covid closed the world.
Covid kind of messed up everyone's travel plans, but I think I'm OK with hosting again. I'll like you lots more if you've been vaccinated but I probably won't ask you about it. But if you're sick that would be bad form to be couchsurfing with Covid.

The idea of a community of travelers is a wonderful thought for me. I have a spare bedroom and ideas I'm very willing to exchange for similar hospitality.
