About Me
La Bohème.
Always in a good mood (well, almost), very gourmande, funny (or I like to think so), full of energy but I also can surprisingly be and stay calm when I feel like it.
Here is my blog, the articles are in French (sorry) but it can give you a good idea of who I am and what I like : https://khankhonphob.wordpress.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning a big trip to Asia from November 2015 to May 2016 and I am on CS because I'd love to meet people who can make me discover their city (since I don't know any of the countries I am going to visit) .
However, I can't myself accept guests since I still live with my parents (and brother and sister), but I would be more than happy to show you around and show you a good time in Paris.
I think couchsurfing is a nice way to meet people and live a more authentic experience, the kind you hardly get when you're just another tourist. And exchange stories, and advice. Sharing is caring.
Interests
Reading, doing yoga, travelling, cooking, partying (yes, that is an interest), music, philosophy and altermondialism, wildlife and nature, alternative lifestyles. Generally seeing and experiencing that : la vita è bella.

Music, Movies, and Books
Keen on trance (almost any kind), rock'n'roll, dubstep and folk, although I listen to almost everything.
I like "mindfuck movies" like Shutter Island, The Game or Gone Girl but I really can enjoy anything, from comedy to superhero movies.
I've loved Belle du Seigneur by Albert Cohen, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, and I'm a big fan of James Ellroy and the Millenium trilogy. I also loved The Tibetan book of life and death, and finally Shantaram.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering : conversation classes with Tibetans in Dharamshala, and teaching English to children in the outskirts of Hanoi. Funny how you learn at least as much as your students.
Going to India by myself for my first time out if Europe, and ansolutely falling in love with the place.
Trying to do a bit of vet work for stray dogs there (although I don't have any training) : cleaning wounds, removing splinters from their paws and feeding them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I can teach french cuisine and pastry, and can help with french language. I also can give you a tip or two about photography !
Learning : everything, and I mean it. There really are only a few fields I have no interest in. Knowledge is everything, and I find learning from people more interesting than learning from books.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Yoga practice, cooking, I'm always good humored and keen on talking to people and learning from them, partying (I can make some mean cocktails) and more generally, going on an adventure.
