About Me

Ciao! Nice to meet you! 🤝

I'm Cecilia, a 24 yo student of Innovation and Organization of Culture and the Arts, with a passion for Theatre. I did many jobs, but the one that most characterized me, and I'd love to continue, is to be a social media manager for theatres and theatre companies. 🎭

I'm originally from Modena, near Italy. Not super popular, but what if I say Ferrari, Lamborghini, lasagna, lambrusco, vinegar-weirdly, all Spanish people know about our aceto balsamico -, Parmigiano Reggiano, Lasagna? Well, all those things come from my region! 🥂

I'm a big foodie! I love trying all typical foods of the places I travel to, and sometimes I get 4 or 5 meals just because I really want to try every possible food on my list! As well, I also like cooking lasagna or other typical meals for my hosts and guests 🍝💞

I play the ukulele, sing, act, dance salsa and bachata (heritage from my recent time as an expat in Valencia). Actively trying to know more about tarot reading, meditation, and manifestation. 🔮 I could define myself as a passion-driven, determined and outgoing person who loves meeting new people and evading from my comfort zone. So, didn't you need a partner for skydiving? Let's go 😎

To have a better idea of who I am, you can check my Insta: @cchickpeas (which in italian means "Ceci", my nickname).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing while I was travelling through Spain in 2020. I've been hosted in Victoria-Gasteiz and Barcellona. In that period me and my host cooked lasagna, played the ukulele on a mirador and discovered hidden places in Barcelona that even my host didn't know of! 🗺️

I also used it in Germany while visiting Cologne! Had the chance to go see the best street art in town thanks to my wonderful host. I loved it! I'm more of a traveller than a tourist, so if you're going to show me authentical places, you'll win my heart! And you'll always have a place in Bologna, of course. I'm going to repay you with the best grandma-house-based tortellini cooking session 😉

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourites change from time to time. Currently, I listen to a lot of Polo&Pan, Iniko, Rene Aubrì, and when I'm very nostalgic of Valencia, bachata and salsa songs ahahahahah 💃

Best film ever: Everything Everyone All at Once. How is that film able to make you laugh, then cry, then cringe you and then make you laugh again? Just genius.
I also love La Vita è Bella, Laputa The Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, Les Miserables, Gran Budapest Hotel, Nightmare Before Christmas, Silver Linings Playbook, Lalaland, Intouchables, Like Crazy (it film), Perfect Strangers (it version). 🎬

TV series: FLEABAG, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid's Tale, Boris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adventurous camping in the Cala de los Textos, Valencian Community. The beach was accessible only through two ropes, and we slept looking at the stars. Amazing ✨

And my whole Erasmus experience in Thessaloniki was wild. No details disclosed in public, sorry ahahahah

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak fluently Italian, English, and Spanish. I've got to practice my Portuguese, German, and French! I can also teach how to cook lasagna (I must have repeated "lasagna" 75839420 times already, sorry. It's just what the public requests all the time 😂)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good cooking, ukulele sessions, lots of fun!

Countries I’ve Visited
