Hi there! I am a young creative who loves to wander down unfamiliar streets, peek into odd shops and storefronts, hike in the early morning, strike up conversations with strangers, write short stories, and fill my soul little by little as I move through the world, leaving a bit of myself behind in the places I go. My home in Portland, Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, is full of plants and books. I have a beautiful rescue dog, named Harper, who is my whole heart. I'm the precocious youngest sibling in my family, and a healthy mix of East Coast meets West Coast. I love to cook (for myself and others!), listen to people's stories, share experiences, see live music, read, write, and make art.

I'm the kind of person who respects personal space and boundaries and is happy to give people time alone. I am also usually excited to be social, get to know people over a drink or tea, and share small adventures with others. Especially when I am traveling, I love to hear suggestions for where to visit and enjoy the company of others.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am finally able to travel again, for the first time in four years! My sister recommended couch surfing to me. I love the possibility of getting an intimate view of the places I'll be visiting, and making memories with the people there. This summer, I'll be visiting Amsterdam, Paris, and Scotland with my best friend of six years, Solon. I'm hoping to strike a balance of independent exploration (no babysitting needed!) and also creating new relationships with people I may never have had the chance to meet otherwise.

On the flip side, I love the idea of welcoming people to my city in Portland, Oregon! Although I don't have the living arrangement that would allow me to host people, I would be thrilled to meet up, share my favorite places, and lend some company to another's adventure. I've lived here for two years now, and it has changed my life incredibly. It is a special city in a magical state - I would love to help people fully experience this area during their visits.

I moved across the country in the United States, from New York to Portland, Oregon, pretty much at the drop of a hat. Got a new job, adopted a dog, changed my life, all more or less on a whim. I've had more adventures in the last two years than I can count, hiking in forests where the trees seem to graze the clouds, up mountains where the sun scorches the earth, with a dog who went from being abused and terrified to swimming in rivers and scaling rocks. I found a job that I am passionate about, in a city I love, with people I am grateful to be around, all because I took a huge risk, and leaped into uncertainty.

I love good conversation, different senses of humor, a bit of sarcasm, making people laugh late into the night, or on lazy days in the afternoon. I can share a great sense of community, respect, and compassion. I want to find ways to show gratitude for people hosting me, whether that's cooking a meal or dessert, making some kind of gift, or finding another way to express what a special thing it is to share space with people.
